Important Financial Aid News

Not already filed your FAFSA for the 2010 year?
Apply Online at: www.fafsa.ed.gov. Note: You MUST apply in order to receive aid for the Fall Semester 2010. The U.S. Department of Education will no longer print the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). YOU MUST USE YOUR 2009 FEDERAL TAX RETURN OR 2009 INCOME INFORMATION TO COMPLETE THE FAFSA. Please keep copies of all of your financial documents. The Financial Aid Office has the right to ask for proof of income.

Important FAFSA News!!!

Students can now directly download the 2009 federal tax return to the FAFSA. This process will greatly reduce the errors resulting from manual input of tax data to the FAFSA. Click here for important details.

Effective immediately, a student or prospective student shall no longer be required to schedule an appointment to see any member of the financial aid team including the Manager of Financial Aid. Every member of the financial aid team is now required to see any student needing assistance even when that student is not on a team member’s alphabet listing. And no student shall be turned away because an assigned advisor is unavailable or busy.

Ensure that you do not experience a delay in having your financial aid available to pay your fees at registration, you MUST apply for financial aid and submit all of the required documentation to the Financial Aid Office by the following dates:

Fall Semester 2010 ........................ June 1, 2010
Spring Semester 2011 ...................... November 1, 2010

NOTE: Students are no longer able to have their financial aid processed instantly.
