Bishop State Community College General Education student Justin Wells of Mobile is among 75 students listed as a 2014 Historically Black College and University (HBCU) All-Star, a White House initiative. Only 75 students in the country were selected and only seven from the state of Alabama.
Wells, a sophomore, is a Bishop State EPECS (Engineering, Physics, Economics, and Computer Science) Scholar, a program designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the field of Homeland Security and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). He is also vice president of Bishop State's Student Government Association.
