Coach & Staff

Trent Eager began his coaching career at his alma mater, Monroe County High School as an assistant in 2009. In 2010, he was appointed Head Coach of the Varsity Boys Basketball Team. In 2011, he guided his team to the 4A Area 2 Championship and the 4A South Regional Championship game, finishing the season with a 19-10 record. He was appointed the Men’s Head Basketball Coach at Alabama Southern Community College in July 2012 and became the Women’s Head Coach in 2014. Coach Eager has served as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Bishop State for 5 seasons. During his time as Women's Head Coach, Coach Eager has seen multiple players move on to the next level, including Region 22 Player of the Year, Anya Banks (Xavier University), and Nahja Scott (University of New Orleans) from the 2020-21 season. Coach Eager tallied a .700 winning percentage in this season with a record of 14-6, prior to becoming the Men's Basketball Head Coach.

Coach Eager is a 2004 graduate of Jacksonville State University holding a B.S. Degree in Sociology. He obtained his Master’s Degree from the University of West Alabama in Physical Education in 2013.
