Create a Federal Student Aid ID
First - create an FSA ID, which confirms your identity when you access your financial aid information and lets you electronically sign your FAFSA.
You only get one and your parent needs one (if you are dependent). If you need one, you can create an FSA ID by clicking here. If you cannot remember your FSA ID, you can't make a new one, you will have to contact FAFSA to retrieve it.
Apply for Federal Assistance
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is submitted every year online or via the mobile app. There are questions about household income, family size, and assets.
Bishop State will review the information and determine what additional documents are needed. Once all documents are received, the student's aid will be processed. Students will be able to view all processes and awards via the student portal.
