Congratulations Igor Pradel Eilert

Igor Pradel Eilert of Mobile, a Graphic Communications student at Bishop State Community College Southwest Campus, recently won a contest for designing a special license plate for the Continuum of Care, which is a division of Housing First, Inc. that coordinates services to the homeless population in Mobile and Baldwin counties. The tag’s purpose is to create awareness of the homeless population in the state, according to Denise Riemer, Chairperson of Continuum of Care Board. Housing First, Inc., a homeless coalition, sponsored the contest. Eilert received the award during Housing First annual meeting on March 27, 2014, and was presented, a plaque, a certificate, and a $50.00 gift card placed inside a business card holder for his future business cards.

The mission of Housing First, Inc. is to prevent, address and end homelessness by developing resources and assets, providing advocacy, leading community planning, and encouraging community collaboration and development, said Housing First’s Executive Director Eric Jefferson.

Dr. Kathy Thompson, Dean of Technical Education and Workforce Development at Bishop State Community College, congratulates Bishop State Graphic Communications student, Igor Pradel Eilert, (shown left) holding the License Plate he designed to bring awareness to the homeless population in the state.
