Dr. Reginald Sykes, Acting President of Bishop State Community College, was presented with the 2016 Distinguished College Administrator Award, presented by Phi Theta Kappa. This award was bestowed upon only a select few college presidents. Dr. Sykes was nominated for this award while still serving as the President of Alabama Southern Community College in Monroeville, AL. He held the position there for 6 years before being appointed as the acting president of Bishop State Community College on February 19, 2016. The award recognizes college presidents for their strong level of support of the Phi Theta Kappa Chapter during their tenure.
