Bishop State Community College named Trenton Eager as its new Athletic Director and Women’s Basketball Player at a press conference held on August 15, 2016.
Trenton Eager has a distinguished career in athletics. Prior to joining Bishop State Community College, Eager was named Men’s Head Basketball Coach at Alabama Southern Community starting in 2012 and has coached both the men’s and women’s teams from 2014 until assuming his duties at Bishop State.
He has a distinguished career in athletics including playing professional basketball for teams in Argentina, Uruguay, and Finland. Prior to playing abroad, Eager played for a number of minor league basketball teams in the US. He started out as a standout basketball and baseball for Monroe County High School where he graduated from in 2000. He played basketball from 2000-2002 at Mississippi State Community College. He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2004 with a B.S. Degree in Sociology and received his Master of Education Degree in Physical Education from the University of West Alabama in 2013.
