Bishop State Community College sophomores Amy M. Oates and Taylor Alston Singletary of Mobile were among 50 students of the Alabama Community College System who were honored during the 2013 All-Alabama Academic Team Recognition Program in Montgomery, Alabama., on March 22. Both Oates and Singletary were recognized for their exceptional academic achievement, distinguished leadership, and community service. Students selected must possess a minimum GPA of 3.25, be involved in campus activities and have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours at the college they attend. Oates and Singletary, General Education majors, have plans to further their education at a four-year college or university.
