The Phi Theta Kappa annual convention did not meet convene this year in Grapevine, Texas as planned due to COVID-19. The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society hosted its first-ever virtual PTK Catalyst 2020 Annual Convention. During the virtual streaming event, Bishop State's Alpha Epsilon Nu PTK students were still recognized for being such a successful chapter and having such an amazing year! - Sarah De Loach - 2020 Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholar Team:
Selection as a Coca-Cola Silver Scholar was based on scores the student earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,000 applications were received this year. This program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and is administered by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. - Phi Theta Kappa’s 2020 REACH Award:
The Reach program recognizes and rewards Phi Theta Kappa chapters that excel in membership development. - Five State Competitive Edge:
The Five Star Competitive Edge is Phi Theta Kappa’s exclusive online professional development plan designed just for members to practice and strengthen their soft skills. Congratulations to our chapters for increasing our membership acceptance rate of 24% during the 2019 calendar year. - All Alabama Academic Team:
Two students from each of Alabama’s community colleges were selected by members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for their demonstration of academic excellence and intellectual rigor, leadership, and service, and for their commitment to extending their education beyond the classroom to benefit society. Bishop State’s recipients are Sarah De Loach and Catherine Martin - Dr. Victoria Perry - Phi Theta Kappa’s 2020 Continued Excellence Award for Advisors:
