Bishop State officially has a Scholars Bowl team!
Instructor Dr. Kathleen Roberts had a vision. She wanted to bring back Bishop State's collegiate Scholars Bowl team and ensure we were represented in elite academic competitions. Today her dream is now a reality!
Joseph Fadel, Demand Laffitte, Demetria McNeil, and Grant Tackett are the founding members of the team. The newly formed team had an opportunity to compete in the Alabama State Championship competition earlier this month.
"We learned a lot; we grew a lot, and we became the newest members of the Alabama Community College System's Elite," Dr. Roberts said about the experience.
Congratulations to Dr. Roberts and our students for providing another opportunity for Bishop State, its students, and its faculty to shine and be the very best they can be. We look forward to supporting them in the months ahead!
