Bishop State is excited to partner with Flight Works Alabama for the relaunch and expansion of FlightPath9 (FP9), a pre-employment training program designed to prepare individuals for a full-
time apprenticeship position at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility.

There will be two separate opportunities in 2022, FlightPath9 High School Program and FlightPath9 Early Career Program.

FlightPath9 High School Program is for current high school juniors who will be high school seniors in the 2022-2023 school year. Students will earn industry certifications and 18 hours of college credit from Bishop State Community College. Upon completion, participants will become Airbus employees.This program will begin in September 2022 and continue until June 2023. Current high school juniors must apply by March 18, 2022. A mandatory virtual meeting with additional information will be held on Wednesday, February 23 from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. To receive an application, students (and one parent/guardian for high school juniors) MUST attend this meeting. FlightPath9 Early Career Program is for individuals who are early in their careers. This includes current high school seniors or those who have already graduated or received their GED. In this program, students will earn industry-recognized certifications as well as college credit. Upon completion of the program, participants will become Airbus employees. Tentative dates for this 10-week program are May 25 - August 4, 2022. Those interested in beginning a career in the
aviation industry, must apply by March 16, 2022. A mandatory virtual meeting will be held
