‘Tis the season for giving and that is exactly what some Bishop State students are doing this holiday season. It all started with a toy drive hosted by the Wildcat Ambassadors and a blanket drive hosed by the Student Government Association . The groups set up boxes for toy and blanket donations on all four campuses of Bishop State. Students collected the toys for two weeks. The first delivery of blankets was taken to the St. Louis Street church ministries last Thursday. The donations will benefit the homeless population of Mobile. Students also gave back to their community on Christmas Day by delivering wrapped toys to the Ronald McDonald House. “It felt great to take time out of our Christmas to bless those who are less fortunate,” said Danielle Walton, SGA President. “It warmed our hearts to see them in the Christmas spirit despite their circumstances. It was awesome blessing them with gifts and they blessed us in return with their great spirits.” The giving doesn’t end there. Students plan on delivering more blankets to the St. Louis Street Church ministries this week, continuing to spread the gift of giving this holiday season.
