The Bishop State Community College tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has been rescheduled for Monday, January 29, 2018. According to the King Center Foundation, Dr. Martin Luther King is one of the greatest nonviolent leaders in world history. Dr. King led a nonviolent movement in the late 1950’s and ‘60s to achieve legal equality for African-Americans in the United States. Bishop State will honor the life of Dr. King with our annual “Keeping the Dream Alive” program. We will be joined by our guest speaker Alabama Representative Barbara Drummond who represents House District 103 of Mobile County. The program will be held in the Yvonne Kennedy Auditorium on the Baker-Gaines Central Campus a 6 p.m. The event is free to the public and all are welcomed to attend.
