Bishop State Community College has 54 new members in its chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. The newest members were introduced during the NTHS Induction Ceremony on April 18, 2018. The students, along with their family and friends, gathered on the Southwest campus to be honored. This year Ilena Wells has been named Outstanding NTHS Student! NTHS has awarded over $1.7 million in scholarships to date! The organization believes students in Career Technical Education (CTE) must be supported and encouraged to seek higher education in today’s highly competitive global community. Aware of the increasing costs to attend post-secondary schools, NTHS is dedicated to providing scholarships to career and technical education students who choose a skilled trade as their career. To be inducted, students must have completed 12 credit hours in the technical field and have a 3.0 GPA. Bishop State is proud of this year's inductees. The College knows "excellence in America's workforce begins with excellence in workforce education." That's why our leaders strive to make sure our students have the best training from the best instructors, so they can land the best jobs and get the best pay. Congratulations to all the inductees and we look forward to following your continued success! See all of the 2018 Spring inductees.
