Pre-Apprenticeships

IMPACT

IMPACT (Industrial Maintenance Process Automation Certified Technician) is a summer internship program that provides an opportunity for students in Washington and Northern Mobile Counties to work with local industry partners AM/NS and Outokumpu. Students also gain college credits through Dual Enrollment. The program consists of 6-courses that allow students to earn a short certificate and the MSSC CPT certificate. After graduation IMPACT students can complete their associate degree in process operation, industrial maintenance, or FAME.


Program Requirements

  • 11th or 12th Grader
  • Minimum 2.5 Unweighted GPA
  • Accuplacer Assessment
  • Letter of Recommendation from High School Counselor
  • High School Transcript
  • Drug Screen
  • Background Check
  • Dual Enrollment Application
