The Process and Maintenance Technology program prepares graduates for entry-level process and maintenance positions in steel and stainless steel manufacturing, chemical and other plant operation related industries.
The program provides instruction designed to develop knowledge of the monitoring and controlling principles used in modern industry as well as the technical skills needed to apply these principles.Mathematics, communications skills, computer, general and industrial-related safety, and science courses are included to provide the broad-based skills and knowledge essential to modern process and maintenance technicians. Specialized hands-on and theory training in the areas of chemistry, instrumentation, maintenance, process operations, and unit operations provides the technical competencies needed in the industry.
